About your opportunity

Permanent part-time role, 40 hours per fortnight.

The Food Services Operational Services Officer (OSO) provides
operational support to ensure the highest standard of function service
delivery and the achievement of Townsville Hospital and Health Service
strategic objectives.

The position is responsible for meal production, service and
delivery of the Townsville University Hospital (TUH) kitchen and to
ensure the safe delivery, evidence based, best practice food and
nutritional service to all inpatients across the TUH campus.

Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $38,940 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $30.33 to $32.70 p.h. (OO2)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • While no formal qualifications are required, basic food hygiene
    knowledge and completion of or the willingness to undertake training in
    Certificate II in Health Care would be highly desirable.
  • The appointee to this position will be required to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting and manual handling of goods.
  • The position is subject to flexible roster arrangements that may
    include a periodic requirement for work on weekends and evenings.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • A 3-months probationary period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
